According to CIES Football Observatory, Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is ranked as one of the most valuable players in the world with the Brazilian now valued at the same price as Manchester City star Phil Foden. The Brazilian is yet to score this season in the first four games for the Gunners, however he does have two assists and has been a vital part in Arsenal’s good start to the 2023/24 campaign.
Mikel Arteta’s side have won three and drawn one of their opening four Premier League games and currently sit two points behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side who lead the way going into the first international break.

Arsenal’s technical director, Edu Gaspar has made quite the impact at the club after returning to the Emirates Stadium in 2019. The Brazilian has helped the Gunners acquire the signings of Martin Odegaard, William Saliba and Gabriel over the past few years. However the best but of business has to be Gabriel Martinelli from the fourth division in Brazilian for a fee of just £6million.
The winger joined Arsenal from Brazilian side, Ituano back in 2019 and hasnt looked back since. Gabriel Martinelli has gone on to establish himself as one of the best wingers in the Premier League, alongside fellow teammate, Bukayo Saka. And it would appear he is now worth just as much as some of the brightest talents in world football, including Phil Foden.
CIES values Gabriel Martinelli at €150 million (£128.9 million) and he’s joined by some of the world’s best talents in the football data observatory’s list. Barcelona duo Pablo Gabi and Pedri Gonzalez are also valued at the same price, as well as City star Foden.
The Arsenal winger enjoyed an outstanding 2022/23 campaign as he scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the Premier League last season which is why he is valued so highly, alongside some of the best talents in world football.
The Brazilian star was lauded as a ‘magical’ talent by Gary Neville on Sky Sports back in May.
