The encounter is expected to be a highly competitive one, with Robert Lewandowski set to take on his former side since leaving the club in the just concluded transfer window.

Bayern Munich will be looking to make it two wins in two matches in the Champions League after beating Inter Milan 2-0 at the San Siro last week.

Barcelona have won four of their last competitive games in both the domestic and international fronts, scoring at least three goals in each of those encounters.

The two clubs have met eight times in the competition since 2009 with Bayern Munich having the upper hand with six victories including the 8-2 thrashing in 2020.

Barcelona have only won one of those encounters and that was a 3-0 win at the Camp Nou in 2015.
