Bayern Munich set to sign Matthijs de Ligt on permanent deal from Juventus

FC Bayern are set to sign Matthijs de Ligt on permanent deal from Juventus for a fee worth more than €80m add-ons included.

According to Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist he said that Matthijs de Ligt has agreed personal terms with Bayern on a five year contract which will run till 2027.

Matthijs has always been a professional player. He join the Ajax youth academy since when he was 9 years of age from his local club Abcoude.He made his debut for Ajax’s senior team in a cup game against Willem II where he scored from a corner after 25 minutes in the game, which made him the second-youngest goalscorer ever behind Clarence Seedorf.

In March 2018, De Ligt was named Youngest Captain of Ajax after the club captain, Joel Veltman was on injury. As a centre-back he scored 3 in 37 appearance. He had a total of 13 goals in 117 games for the Ajax youth and senior team.

On 18th July 2019. De Ligt signed for Juventus on a five-year contract for a fee of €75 million.Since joining the Serie A giants he has scored 8 in 117 appearance.
