Erling Haaland ranked the best Men’s Striker in 2022/23 season

Norwegian and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been ranked best men’s striker in 2022/23 season in ESPN’s FC 100.

Haaland was placed 1st in the list for the top 10 strikers category for last season which was posted on ESPN’s Facebook handle on Tuesday.

He toppped the likes of Karim Benzema (2nd), Harry Kane (3rd), Victor Osimhen (4th), Robert Lewandowski (5th) Gabriel Jesus (6th).


Haaland has had a phenomenal first season at Manchester City. Not only did he break goal-scoring records, his form in front of goal helped Pep Guardiola’s team win an historic treble. The Norwegian striker scored 52 goals in 53 games following his move from Borussia Dortmund and an incredible 36 in 35 games in the Premier League to break the competition’s single-season scoring record.

The pressure was on the 22-year-old after his switch from Germany to England, but he made the step up look easy. It was the season Haaland cemented his place as one of the best players in the world.

Erling Haaland was instrumental in Manchester City triumphs this season with his goals. He emerged top scorer in the Premier League and Champions League. He broke the record for most goal in a single season in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, other top 10 categories for the ESPN FC 100 are goalkeeper, right-back, centre-back, left-back, central midfield, attacking midfielder, winger, forward and manager.
