Erling Haaland’s dad Alfie mocks Arsenal over post-match Community Shield antics

Alfie Haaland playfully mocked Arsenal as they claimed the Community Shield title in a penalty shootout victory against Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s team equalized and eventually won 4-1 in the shootout after Aaron Ramsdale saved two penalties. Even though Fabio Viera secured the win with his penalty, the Arsenal players celebrated with enthusiasm, and Arteta was thrilled on the sidelines.

Erling Haaland’s father couldn’t resist a dig at Arsenal since his son didn’t score against them, continuing a trend from the previous season.

Alfie Haaland responded to a Twitter post about his son’s performance with a cheeky tweet, congratulating Arsenal and suggesting they might be favorites for the league now.

A Twitter account named Troll Football posted an infamous video of Ralph Hasenhuttl celebrating before holding back after Southampton took the lead against Arsenal, with the caption:

“Premier League fans after seeing Haaland had a stinker in the Community Shield game but then remember he did the same last season.”

However, Alfie Haaland, in typical fashion, decided to quote tweet with a brutal response. He started the post with a winking-face emoji, before saying:

“Well done Arsenal, great win. You must be favourites for the league now.”

Last season, Arsenal fell short of the Premier League title, with City securing their third consecutive top-flight championship.

Pep Guardiola’s team finished five points ahead of the Gunners, and they also clinched the FA Cup and the Champions League, achieving a remarkable treble.
