Arsenal triumphed over PSV on their return to the Champions League on Wednesday night as Leandro Trossard continued his brilliant run of performances.
Arsenal hosted PSV at the Emirates as they saw the Champions League return to the stadium for the first time since the 2016-17 season. Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Ødegaard ran the show alongside Leandro Trossard in a dominant display from the Gunners.
Leandro Trossard scored Arsenal’s second goal, producing a fine finish and did well to set up Gabriel Jesus before the end of the first-half. Tim Sherwood waxed lyrical about Trossard’s recent form while speaking on Arsenal’s dominant win over PSV.

Arsenal signed Trossard from Brighton earlier this year in January for £27million. Since then he has been outperforming the relatively low price tag set on him. He has proved to be more than a bargain and is definitely pushing for a starting spot in the North London Derby up next.
Versatility seems like a key criteria for Mikel Arteta when making a new signing and Trossard fits that bill as he’s an attacker who can play anywhere across the frontline. It was evident why Arteta wanted to sign the Belgian and Trossard has repaid the faith Arteta put in him, proving that he can step up when asked.
In his last four starts for the North London outlet, the 28-year-old Belgian has scored two goals and bagged one assist. He has also proved to be an influential figure creating nine chances for his team across all competitions.
Arsenal’s next fixture comes in the Premier League as they prepare to take on Tottenham for the North London Derby. Arteta has hinted that Martinelli could start the game against Tottenham. However, Trossard is giving Mikel Arteta a tough time in making that decision.
