Juventus are set to target Arsenal star Thomas Partey in the January transfer window to replace Paul Pogba if the midfielder’s contract is terminated by the Italian club. The 30-year-old has currently been suspended from playing football after he tested positive for the banned substance testosterone. He was called for random testing after Juve’s 3-0 win over Udinese in August.
If found guilty, Paul Pogba could serve a ban of between two to four years depending on if the substance use was deemed intentional. The midfielder will be tried by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal if a second test sample is checked and returns a positive result.

Pogba Pogba’s representatives: “We are waiting for the counter analysis and until then we can’t say anything. The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules.”
According Italian outlet La Repubblica, Juventus have turned their attention to Arsenal star Thomas Partey to replace Paul Pogba who they are unexpectedly set to be without for the remainder of the season. The Italian club wanted to sign the Ghanian in the summer, but they were reluctant to meet Arsenal’s £40million asking price which meant the deal never materialised.
However the situation could now be different after the situation with Paul Pogba has emerged and it’s expected Thomas Partey would be open to the move, if the two clubs can agree a fee.
The Ghanian started Arsenal’s first three games of the 2023/24 campaign at right-back under Mikel Arteta. However now Thomas Partey is currently out injured with a thigh problem, but is expected to be back around the end of October if Juventus chose to make a move for the player in January. Although doing a deal midway through the season is said to look difficult.
