Kai Havertz started on the bench for Germany as they took on France on Tuesday night. However he was introduced with 25 minutes to go to grab an assist and help his country defeat the former World Champions.
It was two Arsenal men coming up against each other in Kai Havertz and William Saliba in an international friendly between Germany and France. William Saliba started the game for his country and played the full 90 minutes, however he can’t prevent his team falling to defeat on Tuesday night.
Arsenal’s £65million signing, Kai Havertz was introduced on the 65th minute mark for Germany with the game at 1-0. The 24-year-old played a perfect pass to Leroy Sane late in the game to help his team double their lead after a great finish from the Bayern Munich man.

It was a brilliant assist and Arsenal fans will be hoping that’s the start of more to come from Kai Havertz this season with the player failing to hit the ground running in North London so far.
While spending 26′ minutes on the pitch, Kai Havertz completed 8/10 passes, created one big chance, won two duels, won one free-kick, made one clearance and made one tackle.
He might have only been on the pitch for a short time but he had an impressive cameo for his country which will hopefully boost his confidence ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Goodison Park on Sunday.
Kai Havertz will return to London Colney on Thursday with the international break now coming to an end.
