On Monday, City and Rennes reached an agreement on a fee of £55 million, and the transaction is now complete. The 21-year-old should be available for the Treble winners on Sunday when they take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Since the middle of the previous season, City had been keeping an eye on Doku, but their interest grew after Riyad Mahrez abruptly left for Al-Ahli last month.
The 14-cap Belgian, who comes highly recommended by his injured countryman Kevin De Bruyne, will bring pace to a City team that Guardiola felt need more dynamism.
