Manchester City for Matheus Nunes for £47m – EPLheadlines

Just one year after Matheus Nunes joined the Midlands team, Wolves “reject £47m bid from Manchester City for Matheus Nunes but intend to return with another bid.”

According to reports, Wolves turned down a £47 million offer from Man City for Matheus Nunes, who only signed last summer for a club record £38 million and is essential to them. The team led by Pep Guardiola is trying to strengthen their midfield, but Wolves rejected their proposal right away.

The Premier League winners plan to make another offer, but their first one falls well short of what the Midlands club had anticipated. This summer, Wolves has already sold a number of prominent players, including Nathan Collins, Conor Coady, Raul Jimenez, and Ruben Neves.

Losing Nunes, a star player who signed a five-year contract worth a club record £38 million last summer after leaving Sporting CP, would be a further setback in what appears to be a turbulent season.
