Manchester United lost against Burnley 3-0 – EPLheadlines

Although they fielded a lineup that contained a number of United’s periphery players, Erik ten Hag’s team lost the match. In fact, the starting lineup for the game included Jonny Evans, Facundo Pellistri, Álvaro Fernández, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, and Donny Van de Beek. Naturally, it appears that five of the seven named starters are not essential to Ten Hag’s intentions because they have either been in the shop window or are anticipated to depart before the summer deadline.

Evans, meanwhile, is only on a temporary deal with United, despite Ten Hag’s indications that he would prefer the defender to stay for the remainder of the campaign. Having already defeated Everton, this is United’s second friendly encounter against Premier League opponents this month.

Although Ten Hag saw the games as just another chance to improve his players’ fitness levels in the preseason, his team would have profited from a victory over the Premier League’s newcomers. The supposed friendly loss follows two dismal performances by United in their Premier League openers.

Ten Hag did not waver following United’s weekend loss to Ange Postecoglou’s team, but if the team doesn’t improve on its first two outings, Ten Hag’s pressure will undoubtedly increase. In the season’s first round, United also defeated Wolves with little conviction; in that encounter, Casemiro appeared to be overpowered in the middle of the field.

Even yet, I thought Manchester United played a really nice first half, save for the fact that we needed to score, after the loss to Tottenham Ten Hag. We generated opportunities. We earned a penalty since we had numerous scoring opportunities, excellent switching, and a great press on the ball. Why it’s not a penalty is beyond me. He shifts the ball’s path, and his hand is directly overhead. However, you must accept that it’s okay.
