The Red Devils had the England international on their radar in the summer of 2022. However, Old Trafford shifted its concentration on buying Antony from Ajax.

Abraham’s tenure in Rome under former United boss Jose Mourinho was fruitful. And the Portuguese manager will be reluctant to let go of the 25-year-old.

Regarding his attacking choices, Erik ten Hag faces a number of challenges. The season of Anthony Martial has been hampered by accidents. The Frenchman has had difficulty maintaining his fitness and receiving consistent playing time.

The 26-year-old has maximized his brief appearances during the 2022/23 season. The former AS Monaco attacker has scored or assisted in each of his appearances this season.

Additionally, the Dutch manager has needed to deal with the uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future. The Portuguese has spent most of this season on the bench.

Ten Hag has favored Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial above Cristiano Ronaldo within the number 9 position. In addition, the English and French forwards have distinguished themselves when on the field.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, on the other hand, has battled for form this season. Last season, Ronaldo was the Old Trafford club’s main scorer in all competitions. The 37-year-old has scored simply two goals below the Dutch manager, however.
