According to talkSPORT, Newcastle United have joined the competition to sign Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is also wanted by Bournemouth and Southampton.
The Arsenal midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Roma and is in the final year of his deal.
He wants to leave the Emirates before the window closes an hour before midnight on Thursday.
Several Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on Maitland-Niles as the transfer window closes in 72 hours.
Newcastle are also rumored to be interested in signing the player this summer.
Following the arrival of club-record signing Alexander Isak, Newcastle are looking to add more options to Eddie Howe’s squad.
Howe prefers players who can play in numerous positions, and Maitland-Niles can fill in at both midfield and right back.
The Magpies are now considering making a move for the 25-year-old before the transfer window closes.
Arsenal is willing to sell and is waiting for concrete proposals to arrive in the next hours.
