Spain start off their qualification campaign for EURO 2024 with a win against Norway

Spain defeated Norway 3-0 in the their first EURO 2024 Qualifiers match on Saturday. Without the services of Erling Haaland, Norway had no chance of stopping Spain.

Luis de la Fuente was announced as Luis Enrique’s replacement just after the World Cup and this match happened to be his first with his new side, Spain. Luis de la Fuente  made some few changes in the Spain’s call-up and his plans paid off so well at the Rosaleda Stadium.

The match saw Olmo gets the first goal at the 13th minutes after a brilliant pass from Balde and he put it into the back of the net with a precise touch of the ball to put Spain ahead.

The pace of the game dropped significantly after Olmo’s goal, but Spain didn’t relent in pressing so as to double their lead and stand a better chance of winning the game.

Norway managed to defend tightly to keep their opponent from doubling their lead in the second half. But Joselu finally scored Spain’s second goal in the 84th minute.

The Espanyol striker converted Fabian Ruiz’s precise assist to score in his debut game for La Roja (Spain) . Only a minute later, the 32-year-old completed his perfect display, scoring Spain’s third goal of the night.

La Roja will continue their qualifying campaign with a match against Scotland on Tuesday while Norway will take on Georgia. Spain vs Norway Match Reactions and Highlights (3-0)
