 Lionel Messi delivered another masterclass for Argentina as he scored five goals against Estonia o Sunday. The Paris Saint-Germain star, who struggled last season in front of goal with the French club, took his tally of goals for Argentina to 86 goals. 

  The legendary superstar is currently the all-time highest goalscorer for South American national teams. The former Barcelona star’s 86 national team goals have come in 162 appearances. 

  He is followed by legendary Brazilian attacker, Pelé. The three-time Ballon d’Or award winner scored 77 goals in 91 appearances for Brazil.

 Paris Saint-Germain star, Neymar Jr is the third highest goalscorer in the history of South American national teams. The Brazilian superstar has scored 73 goals in 118 appearances for the Brazilian national team.

  Luis Suarez of Uruguay comes fourth on the list. The former Barcelona star is also Uruguay’s highest goalscorer having scored 68 goals from his 132 caps for the Uruguayan national team.

 Legendary Brazilian striker, Ronaldo Nazario is the first highest goalscorer in the history of South American national teams. The Real Madrid legend scored 62 goals in 98 appearances for the Brazilian national team before hanging his boots.
